Laurie Schulte is a therapist with over 15 years of mental health experience working in both community and hospital settings. She obtained her master’s degree in Social Work from University of Missouri-Kansas City. Laurie also has a post graduate certificate in gerontology and bachelor’s degree in Expressive Therapy.
Laurie Schulte focuses her practice on work with adults and older adults struggling with adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, grief and loss and trauma (including PTSD), self harm, and suicidal ideation. Her treatment approach is eclectic with an emphasis on mindfulness. Treatment modalities she utilizes include Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy and grief/loss work. Laurie is EMDR trained and assists many patients meet their goals through this evidenced-based modality. She also is a Level 1 Somatic Experiencing practitioner.
